Let noble thoughts come to me from all directions.
नमो नमः I
It is known that Sanskrit has been one of the most ancient languages of all time and most of our important knowledge is written in Sanskrit. With the islamic invasion, the usage of Sanskrit reduced drastically leading to the arrival of languages like Prakrit and Apabhramsa thus, leading to widespread Indian languages that we see and speak today.
However, recently, efforts are being put to revive our most ancient language. One such effort is now being done by Little Guru - India’s number 1 online gaming platform which teaches Sanskrit through gamification. In the Little Guru app and website, one can study and learn Sanskrit by playing games level wise.
Apart from the website and the app, Little Guru has been actively involved in partnering with other countries for promoting and propagating sanskrit. In this blog, we will talk about how Little Guru is working with Sri Lanka in the field of Sanskrit.
Little Guru CEO Mr Anuj Sharma had a meeting with the reverend venerables of Sri Lanka as to how Sanskrit can be taught in Sri Lanka. Some excerpts of the meeting can be seen in the attached video. The discussion was about a joint project between Little Guru and the Sri Lankan venerables, in which all the levels of Little Guru will be translated to sinhalese in the app and in the website by the reverend venerables, for the native people of Sri Lanka so that they can study and learn Sanskrit in a much easier way. This will be a very good step in promoting Sanskrit.
Why Sri Lanka ?
Because there are a lot of monasteries where many monks read and study the language. Apart from that, there are many universities in Sri Lanka which teach Sanskrit either as a main subject or as supporting subject. For all those who are learning Sanskrit, Little Guru can actually help the students to learn and study Sanskrit effectively.
So what do you think of this new effort by Little Guru ?
