ॐ असतो मा सद्गमय ।
तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय ।
मृत्योर्मा अमृतं गमय ।
ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः ॥
Meaning : This shloka is from the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad. It means, “Lead me from the unreal to the real, lead me from darkness to light, lead me from death to immortality.”
In this blog topic, I will be running all of you through a special 4 part series as to how Sanskrit help in enrichment of kids through the below points:
In today's part, I will be putting across some points as to how Sanskrit can help in building confidence.
As research has put forth, learning Sanskrit helps in expansion of brain power. It also enhances academic performance. For example, students of James Junior school London learn Sanskrit compulsorily and this has led to their students topping the exams regularly.
It also improves our thought processes by activating certain portions of the brain. Chanting Sanskrit shlokas regularly boost positivity and in turn freshens the mind.
Mastering Sanskrit grammar indeed activates the unused brain cells and enhances memory power thereby leading to further enhancement of overall performance of an individual. Moreover, learning Sanskrit opens up a treasure house of literature, manuscripts, vedas, puranas, upanishads etc wherein a lot of knowledge related to individual development is stored. If one learns Sanskrit, he/she can get access to this knowledge.
Sanskrit also helps in speech therapy and pronunciation of words [I will be writing about this topic separately in another blog].
Well, what things are needed for boosting self confidence?
Good communication skills, clear thought process, good personality development, clear and precise speech. As learning Sanskrit leads to an overall individual development in all the above mentioned spheres, it is obvious that Sanskrit learning definitely leads to boosting self confidence.
